Love Named Mifflin County’s New Planning Director
LEWISTOWN – The Mifflin County Commissioners today approved the hiring of Carrianne Love to be the county’s next Planning Director. Love will begin her duties on April 27.
Love will succeed Mark Colussy, who resigned last month in order to accept a new planning position in Branson, Missouri.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve Mifflin County as their new Planning Director,” Love said. “I hope to help shape the county's future in a way that positively impacts the community for decades to come.”
Love holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology from Edinboro University, as well as a Graduate Certificate of Geographic Information Systems from Penn State University. She is currently completing her work for a Masters of Geographic Information Systems from Penn State.
“During the interview and review process, we were very impressed with Carrianne’s work experience and enthusiasm for the position,” Commissioner Mark Sunderland said. “I look forward to working with her.”
Commissioner Rob Postal noted Love’s varied and extensive work experiences as a major plus in her favor.
“In addition to holding several administrative support positions at Penn State over the last nine years, Carrianne has held several consulting positions which provided her the chance to develop a very diverse skill set. Her experience will certainly benefit us, and I am excited to watch her benefit the county with new initiatives in the future.”
Commissioner Kevin Kodish echoed the sentiments of his colleagues regarding the new hire.
“Throughout her career, Carrianne has demonstrated a strong commitment to success, and she will be a great person to lead our planning department,” Kodish said. “Carrianne is committed to working in partnership with the commissioners, the Mifflin County Planning Commission, and her staff, and we hope to see the department continue to enhance its level of excellence in the future.”
