Mifflin County now has Fingerprinting Services Available that meet Federal, State and Local Requirements
Mifflin County now has the ability to offer fingerprinting services to anyone who may need them to be taken for purposes of: employment, banking, coaching-all sports, and volunteers. The County's new Live Scan Fingerprinting System can produce fingerprints that meet all national standards.
Fingerprinting Procedures
Anyone who needs to be fingerprinted must pay a $30.00 fee at the County Treasurer's office located in the Courthouse on the first floor at 20 North Wayne Street during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm except holidays) and receive a “fingerprinting” receipt.
Needs to be cash or check made payable to: County Treasurer
The person who needs to be fingerprinted then goes to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility located at 103 West Market Street along with valid photo ID and their receipt. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Saturday or Sunday by appointment only. Fingerprints are taken on BLANK fingerprint cards supplied to them either by the agency requesting the fingerprints or at the time of fingerprinting. (Please do not fill in any information on the fingerprint cards. The equipment will do that.) If unavailable during the hours listed, fingerprints may be done by appointment by calling 248-1130; ask for Booking.
Optional: Any organization (as in the case of sports teams) can pay for a group who needs fingerprinted and turn the paid receipts over to the individuals.
